The CMM gives us a detailed 3D map of the gear, which we compare directly to your specifications to confirm that it meets the tight tolerances required for your job. 

During inspection, we measure critical features such as:

• Pitch: the spacing of the gear’s teeth, which ensures smooth motion.
• Tooth Profile: the shape of the teeth, so that they mesh perfectly with their counterparts.
• Lead and alignment: confirming each tooth is straight and consistent.
• Overall geometry: making sure each gear is built exactly as designed.
